We strongly urge you to call your Congressional representative and urge them to vote in favor of House Bill 804 Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act; nonrefundable application fee, limitations.
HB804 requires that landlords must expressly disclose all nonrefundable application costs and deposits, as well as offer a copy of their admittance policy, to make the rental application process more transparent.
This will minimize prejudice and improve openness and accountability, which is why we support this legislation.
